Divide total days by 7 and floor the result. Remainder days are not shown separately.

Months

totalDays ÷ 30.44

30.44 is the average month length: (365.25 days/year ÷ 12 months). This accounts for months of varying length and leap years.

Years

totalDays ÷ 365.25

365.25 accounts for one leap day every four years. More precise than using 365, which drifts over multi-year spans.
